We’ve Just Made Sending Personalized SMS A Lot Easier!

With 5.3 billion phone users around the world today, it’s safe to say that smartphones have become the extensions of people. And brands are noticing this! SMS is becoming one of the most popular marketing channels, with many companies investing time and resources to reach their customers on their smartphones. And if you are one of them, we have good news for you!

Our Messaging Broadcast Platform (MBP) is here, and it has made sending personalized messages much easier! It’s one of the solutions we are most proud of, and our team has been working tirelessly to ensure that we come out with a tool that’d be a one-stop shop for anyone looking for comprehensive SMS marketing services. And because we know how important personalization is, one of our aims was to simplify SMS customization as much as possible. We’re glad to say that we’ve achieved this goal, and here’s how.

Introducing Attributes

Attributes are a great tool for many things, and the simple personalization of SMS is one of them. But what are they? Let’s look at an example.

Think of names. Adding names to your messages, be it an SMS, MMS, or an email, is one crucial personalization step that you should never skip, even if it’s the only thing that you do. After all, “Dear Ann, we’re having a sale!” sounds much more appealing than “Hello, we’re having a sale!” But how can this be done, if you are sending SMS to thousands of people? This is where attributes come to help.

They are tags that you add to your text, and the system then alters them with personalized information. Here’s an example:

What you write: Dear <name>, you’ve been with us since <date>. What a year it has been!

What the recipient sees: Dear John, you’ve been with us since 22/05/2021. What a year it has been!

These were examples of name and date attributes, but with MBP, you can use one or several attributes, and it’ll work the same. You can configure your attributes to your liking, making them fit the needs of your campaigns.

After this, all you need to do is set up the rest of your campaign: choose the type, add your text, include a CTA with a link, and then finally send it out at the right time. Depending on your campaign goal and attribution types, your customers will receive perfectly personalized messages they are going to love!
